FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHERE DO PEOPLE PARK?
Guests of the chapel may park in the gravel outside the church and in the grass alongside the woods.
WILL YOU PENCIL ME IN?
We can pencil someone in, but if another client wants that particular day before your down payment is received, we will contact you to let you know that someone else is interested in that day. At that time, you will need to pay your down payment in order to secure the chapel for your event.
DO YOU DO MORE THAN ONE WEDDING A DAY?
We try not to have more than one wedding a day. If the situation arises, we communicate with both parties to see if a plan can be worked out. If it will not work, we give preference to the first client(s) who committed.
IS THE CHAPEL DECORATED?
Other than candles, we decorate the chapel only for the Christmas season.
CAN WE DECORATE THE CHAPEL? WHEN?
Yes, you can decorate the chapel. If there is not another event following your rehearsal or before your wedding, you may start right after your rehearsal.
HOW MANY PEWS ARE THERE? WHAT IS THE CAPACITY?
The chapel has 20 pews (10 on each side) that seat 100 guests.
CAN WE USE A CD RATHER THAN HIRING A MUSICIAN?
Yes, you can use the CD's of your choice.
DO YOU PROVIDE MUSICIANS?
We do not provide musicians, but we are happy to provide you with a listing of musicians who have performed at our chapel before. For your musicians and officiants, we have a piano, 2 wireless microphones and 2 portable speakers in addition to the mounted speakers.
CAN WE BRING OUR OWN OFFICIANT?
Yes, you are more than welcome and we encourage it!
HOW LONG CAN WE USE THE CHAPEL?
Typically, bridal couples have an hour-long rehearsal the week of the wedding. We will open the chapel early on the day of your wedding and leave it open until approximately one hour after the service for pictures. If there is another wedding or event at the chapel that same day, we will make arrangements with both parties prior to the event.
CAN WE HAVE OUR RECEPTION AT THE CHAPEL?
There is a small hall below the chapel that is available for a small reception, rehearsal dinner or family reunion. The lower level will seat approximately 50 people. A tent can be set up for additional seating, weather permitting.

IS THE CHAPEL AIR CONDITIONED?
The chapel is air conditioned and heated.
IS THE CHAPEL HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?
We have handicap entrances to both the sancuary and the lower level of the chapel. The restroom, located on the lower level, is also handicap accessible.
CAN WE HAVE AN OUTDOOR WEDDING?
Yes, and we have recently added a gazebo for your outdoor ceremony and/or photos.

FROM MADISON: Take 18/151 (Midvale Blvd) southwest towards Dodgeville approximately 25 miles, bypassing Verona and Mount Horeb, to County Highway K in Barneveld. Turn left onto County K and follow for approximately 5 miles. Turn left onto County Highway H and follow for 1 mile. Middlebury Chapel will be located along the right side of the road.
FROM DUBUQUE: Take 18/151 northest toward Madison approximately 60 miles to County Highway K in Barneveld (1 mile beyond the main Barneveld exit ramp at County ID). Turn right (south) onto County Highway K. Follow for approximately 5 miles. Turn left onto County Highway H. Follow County Highway H for an additional mile and Middlebury Chapel will be located on your right.
